Erectile dysfunction is inability to have hard erections or inability to last long enough for sexual activity due to improper erections. Impotence may occur with or without decreased libido or premature ejaculation. It can be the problem caused by alcoholism, heavy smoking, heart diseases or diabetes. Some men can find it hard to have erections because of low testosterone, medication abuse or traumas.
Erectile dysfunction is treatable in all men. The treatment options include healthy lifestyle, use of oral drugs called PDE type 5 inhibitors, intraurethral prostaglandin, intracavernosal injections, vacuum devices, surgery.
Before trying any method of treatment a man should consult a doctor. New ways of treatment of erectile dysfunction are improved and very effective if used properly.
The ability to get and keep erections requires certain physical and emotional processes:
healthy nervous system that conducts nerve impulses in the brain, spinal column, and penis;
normal open and wide arteries within corpora cavernosa
proper work of muscles and fibrous tissues within the penis,
appropriate psychosocial state.
Signs and symptoms of impotence are usually the same in all men. They may include: the penis is not hard, penile erections are weak for penetration, inability to obtain a penile erection, fears and bad emotions about performance.
Medications for erectile dysfunction which are commonly prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction: oral phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors (sildenafil, vardenafil, tadalafil, and avanafil), intracavernosal injections (papaverine, phentolamine, and PGE1 Trimix, Bimix, and alprostadil injection such as Caverject, Edex). Some men need testosterone replacement to have the adequate level of this hormone.
The common PDE5 inhibitor approved for use in practically all men is tadalafil (Cialis). It inhibits the function of enzyme PDE5 in the body and produces positive effects on the stream of blood combing to the penis.
Cialis has been proven effective in treating erectile dysfunction in men of all ages and can be used in men who suffer from psychological and physiological types of erectile dysfunction.
The main component in Cialis Tadalafil improves the ability to get hard erections and to have longer sexual activities.
Oral application of Tadalafil is very comfortable. It comes in three main dosages: 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg.
The recommended starting dose of Cialis for use as needed for most patients is 10 mg. The dose may be increased to 20 mg per day.
The lower dose 5 mg is used daily. This dose of the medicine is usually recommended for men who cannot take higher doses of Cialis and/or for the treatment of common male problem called enlarged prostate.
Cialis should not be used in men taking nitrates, other PDE5 inhibitors, alcohol and in men who have acute health disorders and conditions.
Cialis works for the record time up to 36 hours, so it can be used once in two days. This is a very effective and popular method of coping with erectile problems. Men prefer it for its stable work and effectiveness; doctors like to prescribe it for few side effects and high safety profile.
